I tried to use this so that when an item in a ListView was activated it would update the label to the text of a SubItem (using label1.Text = ListViewSubItem0.Text; ) but I got an error saying that ‘ListViewSubItem0 does not exist in the current context’. Why doesn’t it work?

Windows is an event driven system
Whenever you do something it fires up a bunch of events
The events are listened to by an event handler and will perform some tasks

On the left side of Visual studio you have a toolbox tab that allows you to insert Forms into your window
Forms can be:Controls,Containers,Menus and toolbars,Data and etc.

On the right hand side of Visual studio you have a tab that allows you to modify properties and to create and modify Events
