Python Beginner Tutorial 1 (For Absolute Beginners)

This Python Programming Tutorial covers the instillation python and setting up the python development environment. I’m having a hard time understanding why he set up the system variable “Python” this will not make it so that the windows command prompt recognizes “python”.  Adding c:python33 to the end of the path variable will.

so i copied character for character what you put in the command box print< "Hello World"> and hit enter but it said syntax error. is it because i have a more update version?

The blog says this is supposed to be compatible with win/mac/nix but this is clearly only for Windows users. Noobs might not care but your crappy Windows setup is slightly annoying to the rest of us.

I did w everything you said and I searched cmd for the command script I think that’s what its called and anyways I typed in python and it said about no internal or external command..the only difference was I downloaded python 2.7.6 do you think that may be the problem?
