you can place all controls into the same “forever”.
there is also a “key pressed” as a hesd-block, that starts a stack of blocks, if this key is presssed.
That needs no forever.
Then the movement is in the same rythm like the cursor in a writing field, if you hold space

with this you can create games, that look as professional as old nes games:
make all your sprites as tiny pixel-graphics and size them up to 300 %.
Draw your background as a 160×120 pixel-graphic and scale it up to 360 x480 pixel
for positions use vaules, that can be divided by 3
if youdraw your sprites 10 pisel width and 10, 15 0r 20 pixel high, you can fit them into a 30×30 pixel grid after upscaling this way.
